This black liquid satin bias-cut early 1930s evening gown ticks all the boxes for true vintage glamour! The crepe-backed rayon satin fabric has a subtle shine and drapes beautifully. The ruffles at bust and thigh and the wide hem flounce add visual interest and movement to the columnar silhouette. The gown also features interesting use of curved seaming at the waist and hips. The shoulder straps are widest in front, narrowing where they meet at the center back, above the back opening that is fastened with tiny snaps and hooks. (The upper back ruffle crosses over this only opening, so the dress must be pulled on over the head carefully.) The hem of the dress has been taken up about 3 inches, but could easily be let back down if more length is needed. The lightweight rayon satin is unlined. This bias-cut 1930s evening dress is in remarkable, excellent condition, with no flaws to note. The dress is quite small at the bust, so please check the measurements and feel free to contact me with any questions about fit.
