This early 1950s hat or cap in ivory textured fabric is a sporty and casual style, perfect for spring and summer wear! The medium-weight, slubbed fabric looks like linen, but is most likely a rayon blend. The hat came to us with the tiny brim turned up in front and down at the back, although you can adjust it as desired. A criss cross of ivory faille is inset into the rounded, shallow crown, to match the faille bow trimming the right side. The sheer (looks like organza or fine mesh) hat lining is slightly stiffened, to give it more body and hold it shape better. It has a fairly shallow crown (see measurements), and it designed to rest on top of the head, or tilted a bit forward, but will not pull down low over the head like a cloche-style hat. This sweet 1950s hat is in excellent to mint condition, appearing unworn.
