This fun and fruity, novelty print cotton blend 70s sundress is an easy, lightweight and very comfortable retro summer dress in a tank style, with smocked elastic at the top of the bust and at the waist. The combination of the 1930s or 1940s style fruit print with red-checked gingham reminds me of vintage kitchen curtains! Narrow straps hold up the bodice, which has a tiny bit of contrasting red trim along its top edge. Below the gently fitted smocking at the high waist (beginning just under the bust in front, lower in back), the mid length skirt is semi-full, loose and breezy, with a high side slit on the left. The quite lightweight and somewhat crisp cotton blend fabric is not quite sheer and will be great for the hottest days of summer. The multi-colored print of dots and ovals on a white background is really fun and cute! In excellent to mint condition, this festival-ready 70s deadstock sundress came to us never worn, although we have laundered it for freshness.
