This garden party floral silk chiffon 1930s dress is as light and lovely as a puff of breeze on a warm summer day! Dating from the later part of the 1930s, the dainty silk chiffon is bias-cut, but with a bit more fullness than the styles of the early 30s. A wide panel of smocking, plus a tie-in-back sash at the waist, cinch in the fullness of the draped bodice and flowing skirt. The short, puffed sleeves have a narrow band of piping at their hems. The sheer fabric features a floral print in summer-ready shades of coral, peach, aqua, yellow, and soft grey. The dress fastens with a row of snaps in the side seam. It came to us with a floral chiffon trimmed peach silk slip that is somewhat damaged (not shown), but will be included with your purchase. The dress itself is in very good condition, with one small spot on the front of the skirt, and three tiny holes in the right sleeve (see photos), neither of which should be noticed when it is worn. The delicate chiffon fabric seems reasonably sturdy and intact for its age, with no other flaws to note.
