Known for their fine cashmere sweaters, Dalton does not disappoint with this lime green 1960s cashmere cardigan! This lovely sweater is deadstock/unworn, with its original tags still attached—perfect for gifting! Styled rather like a boxy 1960s suit jacket, the versatile vintage cardigan is a bit thicker knit than typical mid-century cashmere sweaters (2-ply, or 4-ply cashmere, perhaps?). It could easily function as a light jacket for warmer weather, or a sweater for layering in cooler climes. The cardigan has notched lapels, faux pocket flaps, and brass-colored metal buttons. Although unworn, the cardigan has been altered-- perhaps by the original owner, or the store where it was purchased--with the bands of ribbed trim at the sleeve cuffs and hem turned under the stitched down. This creates a slightly shorter hem and three-quarter-length sleeves, as shown. Cute as it currently is, the sweater’s trim could certainly be let back down, if preferred. This lusciously soft, bright green 1960s cashmere cardigan by Dalton is in excellent to mint condition, with no issues to note other than this alteration to the ribbed trim.
