This sleeveless white 1950s dress is decorated with blue, hand-painted morning glories!  The dress came to us from the estate of two sisters, Annie and Honey, along with other cute 1950s and 1960s dresses and hats—many of them made by Annie for her sister and herself (they sometimes wore matching dresses!). This 50s sheath style dress appears unworn, and was purchased rather than homemade, but was certainly painted by one of the sisters.  The fabric is white, medium weight woven rayon that looks and feels a bit like linen.  The bodice has a square neckline with wide straps in front. Darts shape the bust, waist and hips for a classic mid-century, hourglass fit. The dress is unlined and fastens with a back metal zipper. The original paper size tag is till present inside the dress, labeled a vintage size 15-16; please see the measurements for the actual size. It is missing its original belt, although the string belt loops are still present. The dress is in excellent, to mint condition, unworn, with no flaws to note.
