This ethereal 1970s goddess style maxi dress or evening gown is a delicate column of rose-patterned, lightweight polyester in ice blue. The draped, blouson bodice has wide straps or cap sleeves—their width can be adjusted by cinching with the attached ties. The waist seam is slightly raised, and the full-length, pleated skirt flares slightly from waist to hem. The bodice of the dress is self-fabric lined and the skirt is lined with off-white nylon taffeta. The rose-textured fabric feels like a very light polyester knit, similar to jersey, but with minimal stretch. The gown fastens in back with a plastic zipper. A super-skinny sash belt finishes the look. This feminine maxi dress is in very good condition, with one faint and small mark on the front of the skirt (see photo), unlikely to be noticed when it is worn. From serving as a “Clash of the Titans”-style, classical-era costume to a disco-era evening gown, this 70s evening dress can be styled for many occasions!
