This unique, ivory- or cream-colored, 1950s cashmere cardigan sweater by Braemar has been customized with adorable berry appliqués and a sheer organza cutout/inset. The adorable customizations, including the sage green piping and tiny fabric-covered buttons, were fashioned by a skilled seamstress, although they have been added “after-market”. The sheer organza panel at the top of the shoulders extends around, behind the back of the neck, and is accented by appliqués of bright yellow berries or buds, each with a tiny yellow glass bead at its center. The incredibly soft and light, high quality vintage cashmere is fully-fashioned, meaning that the sweater is knit all in one piece, with ribbed trim at the hem and three-quarter-length sleeves. The cardigan is unlined, and it is in excellent condition. This special 1950s cashmere sweater will look equally lovely over your favorite spring and summer dresses, or on its own!
