This Kramer NY 1950s rhinestone parure includes a choker style necklace and clip on earrings with topaz colored stones in bright gold metal settings. Kramer of New York was started by Louis Kramer in 1943, and he was later joined in the business by his two brothers. Kramer designed some really lovely costume jewelry in the heyday of high-quality faux jewels, including many pieces, like our citron and topaz 1950s rhinestone necklace and earrings set that have a floral motif. The wider, center front section of the necklace was made as one solid piece, while the narrower sides and back are flexible. The necklace fastens with a hook and tail closure, making its length somewhat adjustable. The clip-on earrings are flower-shaped, to match the center of the necklace. Both the necklace and the earrings are stamped Kramer (“Kramer of N.Y.” on the earring clips and “Kramer of New York” on the back of the necklace, near the hook.) The set is in near excellent condition, with one of the smallest, citron yellow rhinestones on the necklace showing a bit darker color than the others, as its only issue. This signed Kramer 50s rhinestone necklace set is quite well made, and a great color combination also!
