An unusual rhinestone parure by Kramer, this 1960s bib necklace or choker and earrings set mixes smoky dark topaz stones with dangling crystals and iridescent molded art glass beads to create a lot of movement and texture! The well-known vintage costume jewelry company Kramer of New York was started by Louis Kramer in 1943, and he was later joined in the business by his two brothers. Kramer designed some really lovely costume jewelry, and this circa 1960s vintage rhinestone necklace and earrings set is a nice example of their work. The collar style choker necklace has two separate strands made up of double rows of rhinestones, prong set in gold metal, with faceted, round crystals and iridescent black beads dangling from the bottom of each strand. The matching clip-on earrings also have crystals and beads dangling from a rectangular base of topaz rhinestones. The length of the necklace can be adjusted somewhat, using the hook and tail closure. Both the back of the necklace and the earring clips are stamped “Kramer”; the mark on the necklace includes a copyright mark also. The set is in excellent condition with no flaws to note.
