This faceted jet black glass beads necklace and earrings set dates from the 1950s or early 1960s and is signed “Laguna”. The three-strand necklace features beads that are graduated in size, with the largest in the center. The choker-style necklace fastens with a hook-and-tail closure that allows its length to be somewhat adjustable (see measurements for more details). Clusters of the same faceted glass beads make up the clip-on earrings, which have fold-over clip backs stamped with the maker’s trademark. The hook of the necklace is also stamped “Laguna”—a trademark of the Royal Bead Novelty Company of New York, founded in the 1940s; their Laguna trademark was in use until 1972. In excellent condition, this black glass beads set will be a versatile addition to your vintage costume jewelry wardrobe!
