This late 1940s sundress in sky blue cotton has extra wide straps holding up a fitted bodice, with a decorative, quilted panel trimming the square neckline and bust area. More quilting adorns the pocket flaps of the patch pockets on each side of the gently flaring, A-line skirt. The soft cotton fabric is unlined and the dress fastens with a metal zipper in the side seam. It was most likely home sewn, with no labels in evidence. Based on the measurements, this 1940s cotton day dress or sundress resembles a vintage “half-size” or petite--please check the measurements for more details about sizing. It is in excellent condition.
