This ladies vintage tweed suit from the late 1950s or early 1960s is made of fabulous, bright blue-flecked wool. The suit jacket is about high hip in length and has a boxy fit, yet it is still quite feminine, with slightly curved, unpadded shoulders and notched lapels. The bracelet-length, dolman sleeves are tapered, narrowing from the shoulder to the wrist. It fastens with covered buttons and is fully lined with purple rayon crepe-backed satin. The straight skirt has no-waistband styling, fastening with a metal zipper in the side seam. The skirt is lined with rayon taffeta. In near excellent condition, the suit has no issues other than some very slight fading to the jacket lining fabric, which will not be seen when it is worn. The flecked wool tweed fabric is very striking--the colors are lovely!
