This pair of ivory leather 1950s sandals with back-carved white roses in their lucite heels and trim is not only a cute pair of bombshell-worthy 50s heels, they are also a true vintage Las Vegas artifact! See our blog post HERE, for a bit of history about the Moulin Rouge Casino--and check out the ad about its opening, in 1955, from Jet Magazine--our last photo.
The shoes are a very light tan or dark ivory, soft leather, with leather insoles and (pink) leather linings, as well as leather soles. They have white enamel-covered metal buckles to adjust the slingback straps. The lucite flower medallions on the front of the shoes were missing their tiny rhinestones when we took these photos; they have since been replaced with the appropriate clear stones. These authentic vintage 1950s sandals are in very good condition, with some signs of normal wear to the outsoles and insoles, and a few tiny scuffs to the leather above the heels in back (see close-up photos). The lucite heels are in great condition--and so pretty, with the roses and leaves carved into them from the back side, to show beautifully when worn. The shoes are labeled a size 7M. However, since vintage shoes tend to run smaller and more narrow than modern ones do, please check the measurements for more details to compare with shoes that fit you well—and feel free to contact us with any specific sizing questions.
