Label: Bob Bugnand for Sam Friedlander
This mod 1960s cocktail dress by designer Bob Bugnand for Sam Friedlander is a minimalist gem, made of high quality materials. The woven black wool crepe fabric is relatively heavy-weight, lined with fine black rayon crepe in the bodice, and crisp, muslin-type fabric in the skirt, along with stiff interfacing at the lower section, to help keep its flared, slightly A-line shape. The cap-sleeved bodice has a wide, scooped neckline, and vertical bust darts for shaping. Two wide “tabs” at the waist, in the center front and back of the bodice, are trimmed with sparkling, clear rhinestone and silver metal buttons. The bodice “tab” at the back of the waist is split down the center by the back plastic zipper. In excellent to mint condition, this elegant 1960s dress is perfect for a fall or winter cocktail party!
