This mod 1960s cocktail or party dress is made of black crepe and chiffon, and accented by rows of sparkling rhinestone trim. It has the dropped waist style popular in the early to mid 1960s, which was influenced by the shapes of 1920s fashions. The decorative buttons on the crepe bodice are covered in the same black fabric. The rhinestones frame the V-neckline and also trim the faux pocket flaps at each hip. Below the low waist seam, the skirt is flirty and ruffled, with three-layers black chiffon over a crepe underskirt. Stiff nylon has been sewn into the hem of the chiffon layers to give them a “curly” shape. The dress fastens in back with a plastic zipper and it is lined with black, muslin-type fabric. In excellent condition, this 60s dress has a youthful, fun-to-wear vibe. See our last photo, where the dress is shown unpinned to the mannequin, if you would like to get a better idea of its actual size.
