This mod 1960s scooter dress is actually a romper, with shorts hidden under the front flap of the miniskirt—cute and practical! The sleeveless bodice is made of tomato red-orange and white dotted, double-knit polyester. The contrasting pointed “dagger” collar matches the miniskirt/skort/shorts, in plain white, textured polyester double knit. The collar has decorative buttons and trompe-l’oeil stitched “buttonholes”. The bodice is gently shaped in front by diagonal bust darts and vertical seaming, and has a wide, dropped-waist panel at the high hip. The dress/romper fastens up the back with a metal zipper. It is unlined except for the front and back skirt flaps, which are backed with a white muslin-like fabric. The shorts have relatively wide leg openings, to better create the illusion of a skirt instead of a skort. In excellent to mint condition, this true vintage 1960s mini dress or romper appears unworn.
