Size: 30" square
Label: B. Mantero
This mod 1960s silk scarf has a plaid print in bold shades of orange, yellow and navy blue on a white background. The scarf is square in shape and large enough to drape around the body, as well as tying it in various ways at the neck or on the head. It has hand-rolled edges in navy blue, and a signature in one corner: "B. Mantero." The only information I was able to find regarding this label is that "Mantero Seta" is a textile company (founded in Milan in 1903) involved in silk manufacturing, weaving and printing. Certainly, this lovely scarf is nicely printed on fine silk, so I can vouch for the quality of at least one of Mantero's products! The scarf is in excellent condition.
