This mod 1960s suit with boxy jacket and mini skirt has an op-art inspired pattern of striped squares in black, beige and ivory wool tweed fabric—like a checkerboard design made of diagonal lines. The short jacket a small amount shoulder padding, rounded, notched lapels, faux pocket flaps and a wide waistband. It has three-quarter-length, straight sleeves.  Shiny black plastic buttons fasten the jacket and also trim the pocket flaps. The short skirt is slightly A-line in shape, flaring a bit from hips to hem. It has a narrow waistband that closes with an unusual, adjustable slide fastener (that I have mainly encountered before on European-made garments) and a metal zipper in its side seam. The skirt is half-lined in black taffeta, while the jacket is fully lined. This late 1960s ladies’ skirt suit is in excellent to mint condition, with no flaws to note.
