Bracelet: 6.5” long by 2” wide
Earrings: 1.25” wide by 2” long
This circa 1950s vintage Mosell bamboo motif bracelet and earrings in chunky gold metal is even more fabulous than others I have seen for sale, since it is set with tiny, sparkling rhinestones! The extra wide link bracelet is made in several separate pieces, linked with a double row of gold chain running along the back, to give it flexibility. The matching clip-on earrings have two solid pieces, with one dangling from the other. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and is unmarked, while the earrings are stamped “Mosell” on both the clip backs and on the back of the upper part. It appears that one earring may have had its link re-soldered at some point in the past (see close-up photo), but this does not show at all from the front, when the earrings are worn. Other than this possible repair, the set shows only minor wear to the plating on the back side of its surfaces, from normal use. It is in very good condition, and a great find for a collector of high-quality, mid-century costume jewelry. Mosell jewelry pieces are not often seen, and this one is really striking!
