This snap-front 1970s maxi skirt in dark navy blue suede and leather has large patch pockets over the front hips, also fastened with shiny silver snaps on their flaps. The lower section of the front hem has a high slit, below the snap fasteners. The somewhat fuzzy-textured, heavyweight suede contrasts nicely with by the smooth leather used on the waistband, pockets and front snap placket. (The smoother side of the suede is on inside of the skirt, and the rougher side is on the outer side.) Below the fitted, high waistband, the skirt is gently flared form hips to hem. It is unlined. Although still supple, the suede does show some signs of wear and fading from storage. We have lightened our photos to show the color discrepancy as clearly as possible; it is less noticeable in person, under normal lighting conditions. The only fading likely to be seen when the skirt is worn is along the side seams, possibly sun-fading from storage—see side view photos. The skirt is in good, totally wearable condition, its only other issue being a small fold in the leather edge of the waistband, in back. Pair with boots and a sweater, for a classic 1970s fall or winter look!
