This navy blue straw 1950s wide brim hat by Lilly Daché has a matching navy grosgrain band with 2 flat bows. The shallow, rounded crown is slightly deeper in back, to rest on the back of the head when worn, as shown. The wide brim edge is unwired. The curved brim can be worn completely turned down, or partially turned up in front to frame the face. I have shown is both ways in the photos, for reference. The brim is widest at the center front and narrowest at the back. This true vintage 1950s wide-brimmed straw hat is in excellent condition. The well-known milliner Lilly Daché made lovely hats, and this is a nice example!
