“The owls are not what they seem…” (Twin Peaks). This wacky novelty print, circa late 1960s men’s shirt is covered in a large-scale, wild-eyed, psychedelic owls print—far out man! A short-sleeved pullover style sport shirt with a boxy, loose fit, it has a small, notched collar that fastens with a button and loop, mid-way down the deeply cut V-neck opening. The short sleeves are a bit longer than is found on earlier, 1950s and early 1960s shirts. The shirt has a square hem and a single patch pocket. The medium weight, slightly stiff fabric feels like a cotton poly blend. In very good condition, the only issue to note is some faint discoloration on the back of the shirt, near the hem (see close-up photo). Take a trip back to a groovy 1960s “hoot"-enanny (LOL) in this owls novelty print men’s shirt!
