Size: the total diameter of the hat is 12", with a 2" deep and 4" wide crown, and a 4" wide brim at the center front (1.5" at the back)
This ultra-feminine 1940s tilt hat is a lovely shade of dusty rose pink, trimmed with pink puffball flowers and a chin-length pink veil that is gathered in at the back of the hat to drape over the shoulders. The fabric of the hat has a stiff, somewhat shiny texture, like raffia straw. The hat has shallow crown and is shaped to fit at the back of the head, curving down at the pointed back of the brim. It has a narrow elastic band that can be worn under your hair in back to help hold the hat in place. The hat was (nicely) home-made, using a pre-made form underneath (you can see the manufacturer's numbering inside the crown, underneath the ivory mesh lining. It has some light discoloration on the inner side of the brim, where the glue used to attach the fabric has yellowed it over time. This should not be particularly noticeable when the hat is worn. It is in very good condition, with no other issues.
