This 1950s pink cardigan sweater in soft lambswool is an intarsia knit with an ivory leaves design, and heather grey applied trim. The cardigan has the classic 1950s “sweater girl” shape: fairly fitted--especially at the waist--and a shorter length than most modern sweaters. The hem and three-quarter-length sleeves end in ribbed trim. Fully fashioned, it was knit all in one piece, except for the heather grey lambswool trim at the collar and front button placket, and the “stems” and “veins” of the leaves. It is unlined. In very good condition, this true vintage, 1950s cardigan has a line of fading along the outside of the left sleeve (see photo), but no other issues to mention. The lambswool is very soft and lightweight—it will be a pleasure to wear this lovely sweater!
