I would call the color of this vibrant, pink-toned red, late 1950s or early 1960s sweater by Darlene “geranium”. The super-soft, fluffy and lightweight knit is a blend of mostly lambswool and angora, with a touch of mink and nylon. Fit for a 1950s-60s sweater girl, it is a fully-fashioned (seamless) knit with ribbed trim at the hem and three-quarter-length sleeves. The small collar is also a ribbed knit, trimmed with a cute bow! The pullover style has 2 decorative rows of buttons down the center front. The small opening at the back of the neck is fastened with 5 buttons and loops. The shape of the sweater will be more or less curve-hugging versus boxy, depending on how tightly it fits you—see the measurements for the range of sizes that we believe it will accommodate. Pair this pretty vintage pullover sweater with a pencil skirt for a mid-century “sexy secretary” look, or wear with your favorite vintage or modern high waisted pant. It is in very good condition, with just a hint of pilling to the knit surface from normal wear (see close-up photos).
