A prairie-style 70s sundress in a black and lilac floral print cotton blend, this sweet maxi dress is trimmed with wide bands of off-white lace and narrow satin ribbon. The elasticized scoop neckline can be worn on or off the shoulders. The bodice is gathered in the bust area, which is mostly hidden under the large, round collar. The wide, fitted waist panel is higher than the natural waist, at about the ribcage, and is trimmed with narrower bands of lace. A wide sash attaches at each side seam, to tie in back and cinch in the ribcage/high waist. The skirt flares outwards from waist to hem, to create a full, flowing shape. The lightweight cotton blend floral fabric is unlined. The dress fastens with a plastic zipper at the center back. It was unworn/deadstock when I acquired it, but has been laundered for freshness. This perfectly summery 70s sundress is in excellent to mint condition.
