This 1970s maxi dress in printed chiffon and black polyester jersey is a relatively modest style, with long, puffed sleeves, a high, rolled neckline and full-length skirt. The full, puff sleeves only are sheer and unlined, black and rust-orange feather print nylon chiffon with fitted cuffs, while the full, flowing, maxi-length chiffon skirt is lined in black acetate taffeta. The slightly high-waisted bodice is made of mid-weight polyester jersey knit, and the wide belt is covered in the same plain black fabric. The dress fastens in back with an invisible zipper. In very good to excellent condition, the only issue with this modest yet fabulous 70s maxi dress is some wear to the fabric of the belt, where the snaps that hold the end down when it is worn have been moved over by the previous owner (see close-up photo). Of course, you could certainly use a different belt—Black patent? Gold chain belt? Contrasting color? Otherwise, its in great shape! The dress also comes with a matching rectangular scarf in the feather-print chiffon, which could be used as a sash or headscarf.
