This purple and white print 70s sundress is a wrap style dress perfect for the hot days of summer! The warm-toned purple, lightweight poly-cotton blend fabric is printed with a white abstract floral pattern. The most densely printed part of the fabric is used for the sleeveless, fitted bodice and the 2 large skirt pockets. The neckline below the wide straps is rounded and gathered in front, and V-shaped in back, where the 2 halves of the dress overlap. Long ties cinch the waist and can be used to adjust the fit somewhat, depending on how far around you wrap it. I have tried to give the measurements that will fit it best, and have also shown the dress unclipped from the mannequin in my last photo, to give a better idea of its actual size, approximately a modern medium. The skirt flares out from the waist to become quite full--although not a full circle. The bodice of the dress is slightly shorter than usual, by about 1 inch. So, it will work well for a petite or regular size, but not a very tall person. The lightweight, crisp fabric is unlined and there are no fastenings other than the waist ties. This darling 1970s sundress is in very good condition, with 2 minor issues. It has 2 faintly lightened spots (at the front waist and the right side skirt, midway down) and a few tiny picks in the surface of the fabric at the back right shoulder (see photos). Neither issue is likely to be noticed when this true vintage 70s wrap dress is worn.
