This retro Hawaiian dress circa 2000s channels a late 1940s-style “peasant” dress, with its smocked, off-the-shoulder bodice and gently full skirt. The Hawaiian floral print features hibiscus flowers in bold red on black plain weave rayon. Red lettuce-edge trim accentuates the square neckline, as well as the cap sleeve and skirt hems. The stretchy, smocked stitching on the bodice has one small area at the side of the waist where it looks a bit loose (see photo).
