This “Royal Hawaiian” 1960s tent dress has a swirling, purple-on-purple, abstract tropical floral print. The barkcloth-textured fabric is a soft, medium-weight blend that drapes nicely--probably a mix of rayon and acrylic. The round neckline has a wide yoke with piping trim. Below the neckline, the dress is gathered for fullness through the bust, waist and hips—a truly loose and easy-to-wear style! The elbow-length sleeves are also full and flared from shoulder to hem. The dress fastens in back with a plastic zipper and is unlined. Perfect for your next trip to the tiki bar (or any other occasion, really!) this 1960s Hawaiian print dress is in very good condition, with some very slight dye bleed or color variation from laundering in the bold print but no other issues to note. It is shown here not pinned to fit my mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size. The shoulders and bust are the only areas of the tent-style dress that are somewhat fitted. It is approximately a modern medium, but would also fit a size small, even more loosely. Please see the measurements for more details about fit.
