This semi-sheer, dotted swiss cotton dress from the late 1940s or early 1950s has an abstract print similar to a pastel plaid, over a white background with tiny blue, raised dots. White cotton piqué trims the collar and V-neckline (to wear open or buttoned closed, as shown) as well as the tops of the large patch pockets that accent the softly full, gathered skirt. The pockets each have a single button closure. The sleeveless bodice is gently fitted with diagonal bust darts and vertical seaming below the bust. Blue plastic buttons fasten the front of the bodice, and the dress also has a metal zipper in the side seam. This sweet, late 1940s-early 50s day dress is sheer enough that you will most likely want to wear a slip underneath. It is in excellent condition.
