Label: Florida Handbags Made in Miami
This white and silver 1950s confetti lucite handbag by Florida Handbags of Miami has fabulous metallic sparkles mixed into the pearly white plastic. The clear lucite lid has a leafy designed carved into its surface, and fastens with a turnlock clasp in brass-colored metal. The bag has two curved, top handles, and 4 round “feet” on its base. The body of the bag is an elongated hexagon—long, low, and very mid-century in design! The plastic label inside was detached and loose inside the bag when we received the bag; we have taped it back into place. It could be re-glued by its new owner––but be careful to choose a glue that will not discolor the lucite—clear tape seemed safer! The lid has some crazing, and there is a bit of discoloration to the inside of the purse: from the original label glue (see photo--just barely visible on the outside of the bag), and from normal use. The bag is in very good, totally usable condition, with no chips, cracks or other issues. This silver confetti and pearly white lucite 1950s purse will make a great bag for summer, day or evening, and would also be cute for less formal, vintage bridal attire.
