Description
This 1950s atomic novelty print full skirt is made of crisp, lightweight cotton pique. The print features atomic starbursts or stylized floral fireworks designs in bright pink, pale lilac, 2 shades of green, and navy blue, against a white background. The skirt has an extra-wide, fitted waistband above the full skirt, and 2 pleats, 1 to each side of center front. It is fastened with 2 snaps and a metal zipper at the center back. There is room to move the snaps over about half an inch, if needed to increase the waist size slightly (see measurements). The skirt silhouette is definitely full enough to easily accommodate a crinoline underneath, although not as quite as full as true circle skirt. It is shown here without an added crinoline. The textured cotton piqué fabric is unlined. This true vintage starburst novelty print 1950s skirt is in very good condition. It has 2 tiny marks on the front of the skirt, both fairly well-hidden in the busy print (see close-up photos).
