Size: 48” long. 4.5” wide at widest point (1.25” wide at middle).
This deadstock, shiny rayon satin, extra wide late 1940s or early 1950s tie has a fabulous design of polka dots and circles-within-circles—that reminds me of a 40s rotary telephone dial! The rich, chocolate brown background makes a nice contrast to the pine green, peach and white printed design. Like many 1940s and earlier ties, this particular tie is rather short, since they were often worn with double-breasted or 3-piece suits, complete with vests or waistcoats. This authentic vintage circa 1940s swing tie is in excellent to mint condition, appearing unworn.
