Size: 6.5” tall (without handle) by 8” wide by 3.5” deep, with 10.5” long top handle
Label: Tano of Madrid, Made in Spain
This Tano of Madrid 1960s handbag combines fine black leather with plush, floral “tapestry” fabric. The black leather cover the bag’s sides, frame, and rigid top handle, while its front, back, and base feature the earth-toned floral “carpet bag” fabric—an upholstery-style textile with raised, fuzzy sections, that feel like cotton-blend fiber. The handbag opens with two separate, gold-toned metal pinch clasps, into four leather-lined inner compartments, and it also includes one zip pocket inside. The bag has four metal feet on its base to help it stand upright. In very good to excellent condition, this elegant, circa early 1960s purse shows very minor scuffs to the surface of the leather-covered frame and the metal clasps, from normal use. This high-quality handbag is stamped on the lining as made in Spain, by Tano of Madrid.
