This taupe silk print early 1960s dress can easily go from day wear to cocktail-fabulous with just a change of accessories! The sleeveless bodice has a scoop neckline, and is gently fitted with bust darts. The straight skirt has a bit of fullness over the hip area, provided by small pleats extending from the waist seam, and a kick pleat at the back hem. A narrow, self-fabric sash cinches the waist and ties. The lightweight silk shantung fabric should be comfortable in all weather and climates—layer with a jacket or cardigan for a chilly evening. The colorful print is very modern and abstract, rather like large, sponge-painted squares, in shades of fuchsia, sage green, stormy blue and dark gold. The dress is lined with mauve-tan rayon taffeta, and fastens in back with a metal zipper. This versatile silk 1960s dress is in excellent condition.
