Teal taffeta red green dots print early 1950s dress | M

1950s Clothing

Red for stop, or green for go? This early 1950s dress is ready! Red and green circles adorn its teal taffeta fabric, alternating with squares of tiny black dots. The dress fastens down the front from the notched V-neckline to about hip length, with rhinestone and plastic buttons. The front of the skirt has several pleats to add fullness. The bodice is shaped with bust darts, and darts above the waist in back. The cuffed, cap sleeves have medium-sized shoulder pads. The crisp, lightweight taffeta fabric is most likely a blend of rayon and acetate, and it is unlined. The dress has belt loops, but the original belt is not present. In excellent condition, this fun 1950s polka dots dress is versatile enough to wear almost anywhere!
