Size: 3.75” tall by 3.5” wide by .25” deep
This tiny, sparkling rhinestone-covered evening bag dates from the late 1920s or very early 1930s. The silver metal frame is stamped with a dainty floral pattern, and closes with a ball-and-loop clasp. The individual, prong-set, clear rhinestones are all stitched together into a net-like mesh, to form the body of the bag. The short strap is a silver metal, fine chain. The bag has an ivory faille fabric lining, with one slip pocket, with a tiny mirror inside. There are some lipstick marks on the lining fabric, and some tarnishing/wear to the finish on the clasp and on the jump rings holding the chain to the frame. In great shape for its age, this circa 1920s-1930s “dance purse” or small evening bag is in very good condition.
