This late 1950s or early 60s sundress combines white cotton piqué with black and red, large-scale gingham for a fun, summer-picnic-ready look! The fitted bodice and upper skirt are made of medium-weight cotton piqué. The fitted bodice has bust darts and piping at the waist seam. The skirt is moderately full, with large pleats. A set of 2 narrow fabric loops, one red and one black gingham, tie together to form the shoulder straps. Matching tiers of red and black gingham cotton form the lower section of the skirt. The dress fastens with a metal side seam zipper. Because it is mostly white, and unlined, you may want a slip underneath. This sweet mid-century sundress is in excellent condition.
