This white cotton and stretch acetate, deadstock vintage 1940s bra is labeled a size 36B. With its subtly pointy, seamed cups and the stitched satin panel between and underneath them, the bra “uplifts, molds, and separates”, as described on its original hangtag! A wide band of elastic at the front and sides of the ribcage will help keep it in place as you move. The center back panels of the bra are plain white cotton (non-stretch), fastened with a double set of hooks and eyes. The back of the hook and eye placket is covered with a layer of cotton flannel, for greater softness and comfort against the skin—a nice detail! The adjustable straps have metal buckles. In excellent condition, this deadstock 1940s bra came to us unworn with its original tag; we have laundered it for freshness, however.
