This 1950s wide brimmed straw hat with turban ties is perfect for a day at the beach, or by the pool! The dark navy blue (looks almost like black) and ivory straw is woven in a pattern of squares, and the brim is edged with white vinyl piping. The flat crown is very shallow, and the wide brim curves down on its outer half, to provide a bit more sun protection. The attached ivory cotton head wrap/ties that secure the hat to your head are pretty “rustic”—not exactly fancy, with roughly sewn edges, and some discoloration from previous wear. They could easily be replaced using modern fabric, since they are particularly unique. In very good condition, the discoloration of the wrap/ties is the only issue with this fun 1950s sun hat—the straw is sturdy and looks great!
