This oxblood leather wide belt or sash from the late 70s cinches the waist, with skinny ends that wrap around to tie it closed in front. These adjustable ties allow a fair amount of variation in size, from around 27 inches to 31 inches for best fit. The soft, flexible, burgundy or red-brown leather is very nice quality. The back (suede) side of the belt is stamped with the designer’s name, Morris Moskowitz. We purchased this belt from a lady who had been a buyer for the well-known Chicago department store Marshall Field & Company, in the 1970s. The belt was never worn, as was true with much of her collection. It is in excellent to mint excellent condition, its only possible issue the presence of the original price sticker on the back of the belt. This should not be visible when the belt is worn/tied, and could easily be removed by its new owner. A versatile vintage leather belt in a fabulous yet still neutral color, this wide waist cincher can be worn with a dress, skirt or high-waisted pant—or even over your favorite jacket, perhaps!
