This lightweight, colorful 1950s men’s jacket or sport coat is made of yellow, off-white, and rust-red patterned, woven rayon—sometimes referred to as atomic fleck fabric. The three-button sport coat has 3 patch pockets, padded shoulders, and wide-notched, slightly rounded lapels. The jacket fit is designed to be somewhat boxy and casual. The textured weave rayon fabric is half-lined with mauve-grey rayon satin. The tiny stiches used to attached the lining fabric to the (currently sewn closed) back center vent can be seen on the right side of the jacket, if you look very closely—they are not spots. In very good to excellent condition, the jacket’s lining fabric is bit faded from age, and the closed back vent could be re-opened easily, if you prefer. This youthful and stylish, early 1950s sport jacket will be lovely for spring and summer, with its bright hue and relatively lightweight fabric!
