This nylon chiffon 1950s party dress in golden yellow has a strapless sweetheart illusion bodice, under the sheer, abstract floral print fabric. The scoop-neck bodice has vertical darts for shaping, and three-quarter-length sleeves. The extremely full skirt is created using many tiny pleats, all gathered into the wide, “cummerbund”-style waist sash, in darker gold rayon taffeta. The skirt lining and the strapless under-bodice are made of the same rayon taffeta as the sash. Underneath the rayon skirt lining is a third layer, an attached crinoline of sheer gold netting, to help add fullness the skirt shape. The dress fastens in back with a metal zipper, plus a hook and loop at the back of the neck. The net crinoline has ties at the back of the waist. In very good condition, this 1950s full-skirted party dress has one mend in the crinoline netting (see photo), but no other issues to note.
