Description
This elegant LBD is a vintage classic from the 1960s in an easy-to-wear shift style, accented with sparkling rhinestone ball buttons! A narrow yoke at the front and back shoulders surrounds the scoop neckline, with 4 rhinestone buttons and loops at the center front. Tiny gathers below the shoulder yoke add a hint of fullness at the bust area. Otherwise, the dress silhouette is a nearly straight, tube-like shape, reminiscent of the 1920s styles that were influential in fashion at the time. The sleeves are semi-full, gathered into fitted cuffs at the wrist adorned with more rhinestone buttons. 1 button on each cuff is missing, which should not be too noticeable when the dress is worn—see close-up sleeve cuff photo. 4 more fun rhinestone ball buttons and loops trim the center front hem, which hits at about knee length. The mid-weight rayon crepe, satin-backed fabric is lined with black acetate taffeta in the body of the dress, but the sleeves are unlined. It fastens with a nylon zipper in back. A swinging 60s style from the middle of the decade, this black 1960s cocktail dress is in very good condition, its only issue the 2 missing sleeve buttons.
