Classic men’s side-zip ankle boots, these shiny black leather 1970s Florsheim “Duke” style boots feature rounded “bicycle” seamed toes and 1.5-inch heels. Dating from the late 70s disco era, the shoes are fully lined in leather, and have leather soles too. Gently worn and very well-cared-for, these stylish 70s men’s ankle boots are in excellent condition, the black leather soft and pliable. In fact, the only sign of wear on the boots at all are some perfectly normal scuffs on the surface of the brown leather soles and a few tiny nicks in the leather of the heels. A bit later in date than Chealsea or Beatle boots, these 70s boots have a higher heel and a rounder toe than those 1960s styles. Florsheim still makes these same boots today, retailing for $165. Why not stick with the vintage original—which I suspect is better-made! Labeled a vintage size 11, they probably fit more like a modern men’s size 10 ½ (see measurements, below).
