A vibrant aqua rayon satin brocade 1960s 2-piece cocktail outfit, this sleeveless A-line tunic and cropped pant set is serving effortless evening glamor—perfect for a fabulous hostess entertaining at home! Of course, this dramatic Asian-inspired pantsuit would also be lovely to wear to a beach wedding or other semi-formal party or event. The tunic (or micro minidress!) has a high collar trimmed with sparking gold metallic braid, prong-set with iridescent, aurora borealis rhinestones. Below the diagonal bust darts for subtle shaping, the tunic flares out gently from waist to hips. The top closes with a hand-sewn-in nylon zipper. The high-waisted, straight-leg pant has darts to shape the hips below its narrow waistband. It fastens with a nylon side seam zipper and a hook at the waist. The pant hem ends well above the ankle on my tall mannequin, but will be longer on a more petite person—please check the inseam length below, in the detailed measurements. The silky mid-weight rayon satin brocade is woven with Asian-style designs and chrysanthemums in pearl white, pale yellow, and black. Both the pant and tunic or minidress are fully lined with lightweight blue poly-cotton blend fabric. In very good, near excellent condition, the true vintage 1960s 2-piece pantsuit has a narrow area of faint yellowing to the edges of the tunic underarms, unlikely to be noticed when it is worn. It has been freshly dry-cleaned, and has no other issues to note.
