Description

This bold and bright maxi skirt from the early 1970s is made of black and dayglo floral print fabric often called barkcloth, a mid-weight blend of cotton and acetate. The colorful skirt fabric is sewn to a wide black elastic waistband, which has a good amount of stretch to it. The original black elastic waistband of this skirt had deteriorated with age, so my skilled seamstress has replaced it with a modern equivalent. The full-length skirt has no other fastenings. The skirt shape flares out from the hips to the hem, and has a single side seam pocket on the left. This black-based floral print 70s maxi skirt has got true flower power! It appears hardly worn if at all, the colors bright and the barkcloth fabric crisp, in excellent to mint condition.
