Description

A darling cotton piqué sundress from the late 1950s, this pretty frock features a poppies floral print in black, gold, and white. The scoop-neck dress has skinny straps and small gathers below the neckline to add fullness to the upper bust. Vertical darts shape the bust and ribcage of the fitted bodice. Below the waist seam, the skirt has lots of small pleats to give it a full and twirl-ready silhouette. A metal zipper fastens the dress in back. The bodice section only is lined with a lightweight poly-cotton blend fabric which has faded and pilled a bit from normal wear and laundering—not seen when the dress is worn. The mid-weight cotton piqué fabric is otherwise unlined and looks great except for one tiny pull in the weave, near the zipper and below the waist (see close-up photo). In very good condition, this darling, pin-up-worthy 1950s cotton sundress has no other issues to note.
